Default Re: End of an era.

The truth is I should have been out my shop ten years ago. TV rental is a thing of the past, in fact we knew the writing was on the wall as far back as the 1990s for that type of business. I reckon there's only ten sets out on hire now, and yet I still have to be licenced through the FCA.
TV repairs are few and far between now. We just have to face the fact that nobody expects these things can be repaired any more.
Still, I should be out of this shop by the end of the year, unless I find something else to do. Don't fancy fixing mobile phones. There was a time you couldn't keep out of that workshop.
The attachment is from the 30th of April 1955 Electrical & Radio Trading.
Page 42 "Service - with a style." The article is about a Yorkshire firm called
Radio equipment(Yorkshire) Ltd. The service department was located at 115-117 Castlegate, Huddersfield. A floor area of exceeding 3,000 square feet, houses a staff of 16, including those who use vans.
Is this firm still in business?
