There's also the US equivalents- type nos beginning with 1 like 1T4 = DF91.

Valve types- although the 91 and 96 series do hang together, there are others like DL94, DAC32 etc. For Mullard/Philips the initial letters tell you heater type and valve configuration then the numbers give base type followed by just an id number. See:
