On my set I wired in a 5k6 1K in series from the HT and the top of the 6BM8 output
transformer/screen grid, which is now decoupled by a 10uF/450V cap to ground.
Cooler valve, less hum.

Note the 6BZ6 can be replaced by 6CB6.
