Default Philco Model 60 Record Player, Rectifier Replacement

Hi All

First post here, thanks for the membership and all the great info on this site!

I recently acquired a nice Philco Model 60 record player, in its good condition and I have been slowly cleaning it up and checking the components. First off I'll start by saying I am very aware of the safety protocols when working on valve equipment being a licensed ham radio operator with a passion for valve transceivers. The player works well, I just need to replace the stylus as it looks very old and them I'll use it to play a large collection of 78's my mother left me.

I want to replace the metal rectifier noted as a C2D on the schematic but I am having a hard time finding it in the player its pretty tight in there, if anyone can help I would be grateful. Also I have load of 1N4008 diodes in my spares box and wondered if anyone can tell me if these are a suitable replacement with say a 150-200 ohm resistor in series?

Thanks and appreciate any advice!
