Default 2 metre transmitter

This is the first 2 metre transmitter I built, between 40 and 45 years ago.
Stored for many years in the attick, I came across it last weekend.

It is a conventional tx for the period, and I believe the design came from "the Bull" as Radcom was then known, or the RSGB handbook.

Using 8.+ mc/s crystals, multiplied up to 144mc/s, and then into the PA which is, or was, a QQV06-40a. As can be seen, it has suffered some damage during transit. Modulation was via 2x 2B254M's.

As the output is AM, and quite wide band at that, I doubt it will get used again, but one member of this forum who saw it found it interesting, so I thought that others may do too.
