Here she is, finally all back together and looking very smart!
The last part of the rebuild of the Bakelite Bitch involved the refurbishment of the rubber mask and installing the chassis back into the cabinet. It took several attempts to get everything lined up correctly. I had to slacken and rotate the mask quite a few times before it looked level.
I also raised the tube slightly using new felt pads. Then set the scans up and tweaked the picture shift. Got there in the end and I'm very happy with it!!
It hasn't played up yet either, although after about an hour in use the EHT wants to drop off and the picture goes slightly out of focus. This seems to be getting better the more I use the set so I'm thinking LOPT saturation which may go away eventually. Other than that she's a cracker!!!
