The hosting company have confirmed that nothing has changed with the server, which confirms my checks.

There appears to have been a high level of activity from four IP addresses yesterday evening, accessing the site almost constantly. One was a spider from a Russian search engine which I have now blocked. The other three are normal UK ISP connections (three different ISPs), so maybe people trying to download the whole site with website grabbing software?

Hopefully it was just a one-off. Everything is now fine, and the parameter it was being limited on yesterday is now at only around 5% of the limit.

If it reoccurs please post here, and include the times it happened if possible as that allows the hosting company to check the specific area in the logs.
