I wouldn't worry about the equalisation settings ... that won't harm the record. If you can get some one in the know to play it on suitable equipment with the right stylus and tracking force, then at least you can get it recorded onto other media and find out what is on it. Then you'll get better advice on its value, at least for insurance purposes if not for selling it on or donating to a museum/archive.
