I must admit the control knobs are quite tactile with the knurled edges.
If it works ok on the other ranges I may well leave it in its box.
In the past on other model 40's ,I have noticed that there is a small amount of grease on the inside of the boxes, maybe to trap any metal particles from entering the movement ?
