Just had a look at the Ekco A52 workings, looks like it should be a good beginners set and should raise no issues for restoration. Nice big uncluttered chassis.

3 valves plus rectifier. All octal valves. Mains transformer for heaters and HT so earthed chassis set. Cabinet should not be too difficult to restore the finish.

Although too far for me I am sure someone will take it for restoration.
