A Cable of that type will certainly allow the CR43 to be connected to an amplifier with Phono (RCA, Cinch) i/p sockets, Julie, but whether interference pickup would be a problem, I'm not sure. As I noted in post #4, the cables designed for in-car use such as the Blaupunkt one in post #2, incorporated an outer screen in addition to using screened internal leads for the signal lines. The outer screen was connected to the metal shell of the DIN plug, and thus to the chassis of the radio or stereo with which it was used. It's purpose was to minimise the risk of interference from the vehicle's electrics.
