One reason I write up my projects and put them on my website is that if a year or two goes by, I can get to them easily from any net connected computer and see what I did with some part of some circuit.

As time goes by it is hard to remember the finer details of different projects and it can be handy to have it in cyberspace, even if it is just the pin connections of some IC or the resistor values used in a circuit. Also it creates a good service resource if the thing breaks down and needs repair.

It adds extra time to a project to write it up in detail and web publish it, but its worth it in the long run and the articles might help someone else.
