Default Rules and Information - READ THIS FIRST!

Please read this thread in full before posting or replying in this section.

This section is new and being trialled. If it does not work or there are too many problems it will be removed.

If you require repair or restoration services please start a new thread giving as much information as possible. Include the make and model of the equipment, and describe the fault, condition and anything else that may help potential repairers decide if it is something they can help with.

If you have just purchased an item and it is not in the expected condition, contact the seller. This section is not the place to discuss problems with purchases.

DO NOT reply to these threads offering suggestions as to how the requester may be able to repair the item him/herself or speculating on the cause of the problems.

ONLY reply if you are willing and able to offer the services requested, from a technical ability and logistical (transportation etc) practicality, in a reasonable period of time.

Once you have replied here, also contact the requester by forum Private Message (PM) to discuss details and prices. You must respond both in the thread AND by PM. To send a PM click on the person's name to the left of their post then click "Send private message to...".

Be aware that the requester may have received more than one offer and is free to make his/her own decision. Do not attempt to discuss other offers they may have received with them, or to undercut other offers etc.

All repairs must be carried out in a safe and competent manner, and a reasonable guarantee included. We suggest that repairers obtain appropriate public liability insurance, and keep records of the work done and parts used etc.

The owner and moderators of the forum have no responsibility or liability for the outcome of any arrangement made here. The arrangement is solely between the repairer and the equipment owner.
