Yes, usually the Australian versions have AM/PM. You can change from one to the other by removal or addition of a diode to that panel.
The VTC was perhaps THE most popular Beta (if not actual) vcr out there. No doubt the price had a lot to do with it ,but small issues aside, it was a great reliable vcr with phenomenal head life too.
