Wow, I never knew there was a VTC500-style model in woodgrain! The VTC500-style machines have always been one of my favourite betamax machines looks-wise (sadly all I have is a broken Sony SL-C5).
PALsite (what I use when looking up betamax VCRs) don't have the 5550 listed. Perhaps you should let them know about it?
