The O/P transformer was sent to Ed on Wednesday.
I've replaced the original mains cable with 3m of new cable. The turntable and motor have been re-oiled and go through the motions as they should. The c clip is missing.
I've ordered a ceramic cartridge which should arrive next week. Its output voltage is: Output voltage (at 1k Hz, 3.54 cm/sec): 150 mV ~ 300 mV.
Its tracking range is:Tracking force: 5.0g (4 ~ 6g).
The stylus comes with a sapphire tip.
At the end of the tonearm there are a red, blue and ground wire. What are the red and blue wires for? I'll have to work out which wire goes where on the cartridge.
