Returning to your Post#1, that BSR SC12M is an ideal cartridge for your amplifier and will certainly easily fit the Garrard headshell. Did it come with a mounting bracket? If so, remove the headshell first (bayonet cap fitting) to make it easier and note the colour coding on the 4 connecting wires. Maybe make a diagram to remind you. I can see that you have the Centre Stacking Spindle (often missing) but are not using it.
