If that guy wasn't "Ted de Pol" it was certainly someone who learnt his craft from him!
Ted was the Manchester regional polisher for GTVR in the 70s and perhaps the early 80s
Swore like a trooper, and liked to impress us with that meths party trick.
I never knew his surname, it was always "Ted de Pol".
