I have just finished measuring the off-load primary current and at 246v in it was 17 m/a, not excessive in my view but what do you think? It is reinforcing my conclusion that I have a lamination problem and there isn't much I can do about. Dispose and buy another tfmr or HV source. Thanks again for the help.
