BRC-Thorn 1400 chassis models
As promised here's a selection of sets employing the BRC/Thorn 1400 chassis. I've read that production started as early as 1965 with the Ferguson 3645 then a lull until full production started during 1967. Not sure if this info is correct.
All models have one thing in common, the conventional VHF turret tuner with UHF either being rotary or the 4-push button type. Indeed many of the later 1400 models were issued as 1500s with a removable piece to conceal the absent VHF tuner.
My many thanks to the forum members who've given their kind permission for me to use their photos. Others are very welcome to upload their own and give servicing tips and comments along the way, this after all being a repair and restoration forum. Brochures showing these sets would be also nice to see.
