There was one large screen set available in the UK until the early 90s. They died out because the sets had a line output transformer which died and we couldn't get them. They were made in Poland (Which is how I know of them) and they weren't all that good. But that was the last large screen set in the UK.
Wish I'd kept one now.... a TV shop near me had several and he just skipped them.
