Re: Beovision 7102 CRT TV,schematic/advice please
You shouldn't have any convergence issues with a 30AX. I'm sure I used to swap yokes around on these back in the day without encountering any problems.
I always found converging a delta gun CRT quite therapeutic and a real challenge to get it as best it could be. You really need to know when to stop though. |
Re: Beovision 7102 CRT TV,schematic/advice please
Didn't these tubes have a potmeter on a small print on the scan coils? I remember having trouble With dry joints on this print.

When you say the scan coils are smoking, are you getting a picture still?

Re: Beovision 7102 CRT TV,schematic/advice please
no,managed to see picture just before it failed, and seemed to collapse into a vertical line down the center of screen, whilst coils smoking ,then no picture at all

Remove the scan coils and have a close look at the winding. See if you can see any evidence of burning. I can't remember if you can see the winding when the yoke is removed, can you believe that when I must have worked on hundreds of sets with this CRT.
It seems strange that the coils would just fail after fixing the original fault. |
