Anyone recognise this connector?

4 Attachment(s)
I acquired a microprocessor trainer for the Intel 8080 a week or two ago (a picture of one like it is supplied below).

It came with a plug-in card that is clearly a serial interface for a terminal, plus a 2708 monitor EPROM.

The supplied cable has a connector on the end which is presumably for a teletype/teleprinter/terminal but I've never seen one like it before.

Can anyone shed any light on what it might have plugged into?

No idea what it would be connected to, but the connector looks like one from Radiospares: extract from the July-Oct 1980 RS catalogue attached. They will cost a lot more today!

RS still do them - the call them automotive connectors now - look under Cinch.

No idea what this one was used for though.
