Thanks to all who patiently went through the saga of my Quad mono set up and my Regar planar 1 turntable with me. I have spent the morning listening to Pavarotti and Dame Joan, and look forward to Deep Purple in Rock this evening. Thanks to all who contributed.

A special thanks to David, Captainpugwash who has just supplied me with a loudspeaker cabinet and ‘speakers for a combo amp project. He spotted the fact that I was unable to collect a similar item offered by another member and so very kindly supplied just what I wanted FOC.

Many thanks to George (Buggies) for the Russell Hobbs kettle parts to repair the fault reported here:

So quiet and quick! I've kept the original faulty switch and may try to dismantle it out of academic (& Forum) interest but it strongly resembles a round tuit... Thanks again, George. |

A huge thank you to both Valvepower for the tuners and the surprise package he sent to me , plus a huge thank you to Nymrod121 for transporting them via FCS and meeting me today at the pub for a drink and passing over the tuners and also another surprise couple of boxes of bits from Nymrod.
