Weir Majoreg 441 power supply

I have used this for many years, useful because of the higher voltage end. However it adjusts from 0 to about 3V now. Has anyone a circuit, or any advice please. Thanks

Telford show as having several Weir manuals, see - http://www.telford-electronics.co.uk/manual.php?alpha=w but no 441, give em a ring.

Noticed that red wire looks loose, so check wiring and any connectors but things to look for on linear PSU's, check trannies especially the big series pass trannies arn't SC, change opamps to see if that helps and check to see if the sense resistor is ok ( big green R or big R near OP). Your PSU will follow a pretty standard topology with either a 723 voltage reg chip or a normal opamp. Look at Farnell L series PSU's to get an idea.

Yours looks pretty simple check the tfmr sec is correct, then the bridge rectifier/diodes are ok, check for any bad caps and zener diodes that are dead.

Andy.
