Moderation? Why?
Could the mods please explain why my posts are on moderation?

Re: Moderation? Why?
I could be mistaken - I often am - but I'm guessing that you may have responded to a request in the 'Services Wanted' section. If so, all posts are held by moderators to check that they're relevant to the specific request. Quite often, to try to be helpful, forum members will suggest how a problem might be overcome by one means or another. That's fine in say the 'information wanted' section or general discussions, but not in the 'Services Wanted' section. You can of course always PM a member to offer advice beyond the scope of that particular rule.
At fairly frequent intervals Paul and the Mods have restated the rules that apply to the 'Services Wanted' section. |
Re: Moderation? Why?
David is correct.
Members' posts do not go into moderation without a good reason. It normally happens because the mods suspect the member is likely to make OT or otherwise unacceptable posts, or because the forum section has previously attracted problematic posts. Premod isn't some sort of punishment. |
Re: Moderation? Why?
Sam is probably referring to this thread in the Repair and Restoration Services Wanted section.

Re: Moderation? Why?
I've been caught out by the 'premod' process before. Nothing to worry about.

Re: Moderation? Why?
Me too. I slapped my own wrist afterwards for being so thoughtless.
