Grundig Yacht Boy 209.
Just got one of these rather cheaply from a radiophile auction recently, it's giving dead set symptoms but does pop when switched on. The receiver circuits do appear to be working as I have demodulated audio on the base of T7 but nothing further down the line. T7 and T8 have been removed and tested and both check out fine. I have the servicing info from Paul's DVD but the circuit diagram is far too small for me to be able to read and zooming in makes everything somewhat pixellated /blurred. Does anyone have a better resolution scan of the cct diagram prefferably with transistor data (voltages etc)?

It is always a good idea to clean the switches on a Grundig transistor radio. Some switch functions are 'daisy chained' along the switch bank.

Switches have been thoroughly cleaned Ron . I'm not a radiomuseum member , perhaps I need to join it. Sorry about the title mis-spelling too, can't edit it, hopefully a moderator will correct this for me

I tried posting the AF amp circuit here but the forum software reduces the image too much so it is unreadable.
You can download the schematic from RM as a guest, just click on the small image on the right then on the large image on the left, then fill in your details. you will need to download each page separately. the limit is 3 per day I think. Mike ps here it is as a pdf Attachment 195545 |

Rob,
There are three 1000uF electrolytics in the amp section, check those haven't shorted. Andrew |
