PW For Yaesu FT-480R

Hello everyone.

Has anyone got a copy of the article published in PW around 1980's.
For the Yaesu FT-480R.

Think it was low power mod for SSB.
Listen on input mod.
Plus some other mods.

If you can help please get in touch.

:wall:

Hello Andy

This was information which was contained in the Mods column, #27, on page 46 of the January 1984 issue. To get a copy go to
https://www.americanradiohistory.com...s_Magazine.htm
and search the 1980's issues using the words
January 1984 46
Look through the search results until you find the file name
PW 1984 01-OCR-Page-0048.pdf
You can then download and print the page.
If you get really stuck, please PM me.

Roger Hall, G8TNT started this column late in 1980. While the column dates are shown in the annual indexes (December issue each year) the contents are not. I got lucky with the search engine at ARH and found the index to the first 15 columns which was in the April 1982 issue, Pp 29 and 36. That referred to other material on the FT-480R in the December 1980 issue (p.30) and the August 1981 issue (p.29) Use ARH to see if the material is of interest to you. There was an index for the fist 24 columns in the April 1983 issue, pp. 19 and 26.

I don't know if there was further mods for the FT-480R in later columns.

HTH and 73
