AVO Mini.

Going though my old workshop having a final clear out, I found a small wooden box about 3inches by 2inches 2inches deep. To my surprise inside was an old Avo minor, once a new battery fitted still worked. Dc only and ohms a good little keepsake.

Stephen,

If you're interested, you'll find a great deal of information on Avominors on this forum in the Avometer Survey thread amongst others. We have at least two resident experts who are very knowledgeable and helpful on this particular type.

These little meters have often survived in their own carefully made wooden case constructed by their original owner who clearly valued their usefulness.

Wonderful little meters, and sold in their thousands. I have 7 in my collection from various eras.
Out of interest, could you tell me the serial number, it’s printed on the bottom centre of the scale-plate

Is that definitely the serial number? looking at my list, it should be more like 11460-34, then it fits in with the month of manufacture.

Most people gravitate towards the Model 8...
