Can anyone help with identification and age of this radio I picked up the other day along with the KB 830.
No markings on back or front at all.

Thanks in advance.

I thought the grille looked a bit Ekco-ish in the thumbnail, but not so much in the full-size version.

The valve line-up might provide a clue.

Possibly a generic "store" or catalogue radio?

Radio Rentals perhaps?

That waveband switch above the tuning dial reminds me of a Radio Rentals set.

Can you post a picture of the chassis?

Hi,
It’s a McCarthy (Felgate Radio), I have a service sheet (maybe just a diagram) somewhere, there are some variations of chassis. Pic of mine attached.

Probably an MC422 1949ish.

That's a new name to me , not heard of that one.
Looked it up online and I see they made Televisions under the Defiant name for the CO-OP too.
