Cossor melody maker 500 shrunk trim
Has anyone come up with a suitable replacement trim on a Cossor Melody maker?. I have thought of trying U shaped car door bump strip. no use trying to mould one out of the original as it has already shrunk. any thoughts?.

Hi Johnny
Funnily enough I have given a lot of thought! I gave this as an example in this thread Post #3 https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=166617 I am yet to find an affordable solution Cheers Mike T |

We do seriously need a resource for 3d printing, as suggested In the thread.
I wonder out of curiosity, how much such a rig would cost, and how much it would cost the members on here if we all chipped in to pay for it - regular contributors obviously. It could be housed by somebody who had a big enough workshop and was trusted and respected enough to do it, and wanted to of course. Parts could be produced in small quantity and with long lead times, and some nominal cost involved for time. The custodian also has the benefit they can access said machine for bits themselves. I know, I know....tough to organise etc etc. But if it was a case of a bit of planning and I don't know, £5 each, I can see merits to it. All under "gentlemens agreement" obviously... |

Jon Ti Pwun, already does a lot of 3D printing including Hacker Grills.
When I was last in Nepal I enquired about getting some Cossor surrounds designed and printed, I had to sit down when I heard how much! It's the time it takes to design, and it ties the printer up for quite a long time. I have 3D printing facilities at work but totally lack the time to do the design. Cheers Mike T |

One of our forum folk ( Phildil) has made some brackets for the Chinese Cartridges, using his 3D printer, I’m not sure if he would be interested but you could ask.
