I was a little surprised that the BBC article gives the restart of TV as 1946. I was under the impression that it wasn't until 1946.
At least it doesn't explicitly perpetuate the myth of transmission being cut off in the middle of the Mickey Mouse cartoon that is not supported by the "Programme as Broadcast" for 01-09-1939. |
