Photomultiplier data

There have been occasional threads about photomultipliers in the forum. The main UK manufacturer used to be Thorn-EMI Electron tubes in Ruislip, Middx. The compnay has been through various hands and their current website is: http://www.electron-tubes.co.uk/ There are data sheets freely downloadable which may include some of the historic types that we may encounter.

If that source of data fails I have an EMI PMT data book from 1970. I have occasionally scanned entries where members have needed specific data.

I used to be a spectrographic engineer (okay, a 30 year technician) we used the Jap ones as they were the only ones really producing them.

Thanks for this link Jeffrey. If you're into photomultipliers (PMTs), these are discussed in depth on the NBTVA board, such as here.

Thanks to Sean Williams, I was able to obtain a rare red-sensitive example of this device and as a result my 30-line NBTV camera can use one PMT for each primary colour. This was captured from the mechanical monitor's display.
