BVWTM Saturday 19th November Event 100 Years Broadcasting
 
Reminder that less than two weeks away, on Saturday 19th November.

Start of Broadcasting 100 year anniversary, with some historical recordings. Entry £10 - lunch included.

Celebrate 100 years of public service broadcasting at the British Vintage Wireless and Television Museum. All galleries will be open including new exhibits to look at, many exhibits will be working playing historic films and broadcasts. Opportunity to see a working reproduction Baird Televisor showing a 30 line mechanical picture. There will be demonstrations and informal talks throughout the day. Refreshments and light lunch provided.

I would like to thank all those involved in organising this for a most enjoyable day.

It was interesting to see a working Televisor, I'd only read about them before. And the talk on spark/coherer telegraphy was excellent.

Yes a very good day. The TV receivers performed quite well. Many had never see a projection tv work before. The Decca 131 made an impact! Thanks to everyone that made it fun. John.

A most enjoyable day, the working spark transmitter being most impressive. Although the wind brought a chill to the proceedings a short visit to the working tv display soon warmed me up! Good to meet up with so many like-minded idiots - sorry, enthusiasts again.
