Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
I am a member of the BVWS and recently purchased off a member a N.P. Thomas Hitchcox auto morse triple lever missing is one of the levers.
Does any one have any information on this key from the 1920's? I would hope there might be some drawings of this key to try and get the missing lever made? It was made in Australia and purchased there. 73s Andy 2E0NDZ |

Do you know if there is any drawings for this key its missing a third of its capacity. 73s Andy 2E0NDZ |
Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
No Andy, I just saw that link. It might be worth e-mailing the site owner and see what he knows about the key. It's an impressive piece of work, I wonder if there's anything in the Morsum Magnificat magazines about the maker.

Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
Roger's reference spells it Hitchcock which might affect the success of further searches. Any certainty on the spelling?

Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
Re. posts #1 and #3, and a search for a drawing, I suggest that you look at Patent no. 1918007023 at the Australian patent office web site. The drawings are not dimensioned, but may help you work out what you need.

Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
Thank you all it appears that this is the best I will get, I need to find a model maker who could make the parts from what I have of the key which is about a third.
I have no idea why it was removed. 73s Andy 2E0NDZ |
Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
Does any body have a complete key as mine is missing the third key?

Someone could have 're-purposed' yours as a twin paddle for an iambic keyer.
I've seen all sorts of vintage keys hashed up for this sort of reason. David |
Re: Hitchcox triple lever automorse key
Does any reader have a scrap key I need the whole of the bottom key.
Or contact with a member with a complete key? Andy 2E0NDZ |
