Boater Sam banned???

Just scrolling through a thread on leaky Duracell batteries and noticed that the legend under Boater Sam's username is "banned"... Is this right, and why would he be banned? I don't recall him ever making objectionable comments on here, possibly a few OT's but don't we all?

Yes, he is banned.

The mods never discuss reasons for bans in public, but they are never imposed for trivial reasons.
