Wartburg 5000 radio. Value?
I have a Wartburg 5000 radio in very good condition. I would like to know how much I can sell it for.
Thanks. |
Re: Wartburg 5000. Value?
Hello and welcome.
This is a large valve radio from, I would guess, the late 1950s or early 1960s, with rather plain styling and only AM wavebands (i.e. without FM). I suspect it was made in the former East Germany. In this country, I would say it would be worth £25 or so at most, but I'm not sure what the market is like in Greece. Nick. P.S. I've never heard of the Wartburg brand with regard to radios, though my neighbours had a Wartburg car in the 1970s which looked much older than it actually was. |

Re: Wartburg 5000 radio. Value?
I like the Cossor Melody Maker 500, repaired radio #8 on that site, I could not be so bothered with such a common set but he has done a great job.
His cabinets look lovely, not all glossy varnish, I suspect just oiled. |
