Andrew Wylie
Does anyone know if Andrew Wylie (aka "Mr Transistor") is still on the go ?

Re: Andrew Wylie
I've sent him messages in the past and had no reply, despite living in the same borough!

Yes, his website shows © 2021
http://wylie.org.uk/technology/technology.htm I think I've sent him messages and not had a reply also, but it just happens I've got an email in 'drafts' so if I send mine off and you send yours, maybe he will get interested. |
Re: Andrew Wylie
Right enough, Julian, I've had email contact with him ages ago & struggled then. On his website he says he's just a historical researcher not technically involved with circuitry. Perhaps he's fed up with folk thinking he's a "Tranny" radio enthusiast.
I had already obtained info from him on some original STC & GEC prototype transistors (crystal triodes) I've had for several years, and thinking I might build a wee project with one of them, wished to see if he had any recent further info. Regards, David |
Re: Andrew Wylie
Just had a reply from AW, in which he addressed me as "David" though the message was a reply to mine. Does that mean he also had one from you, David?

Re: Andrew Wylie
Good news that Andrew has been contacted so this thread is no longer required.
