I got mine this morning, plenty of good articles to read in there later today.

P.s why do I get visions of Tim Hunkins working television bonfire at the end of the “secret life of the television” program looking at the cover of the magazine ;D

Well, I can honestly say that in my 21 years of receiving the bulletin, this has to be the best yet. It has something for everyone. Vintage radio, classic radio, TV, grams, test, collectables and historical articles. Well done to everyone involved, particularly in these restricted times.

Haven't seen that - is it anything like the "Rosebud" bonfire at the end of Citizen Kane? ;)

Got mine too, I must wait until after tea, SHMBO has made her signature beef in red wine casserole, it is so delicious one can't stop eating it. And after that a gentle read is about the only thing you can do. Perfect timing!

Hi,

Cracking Bulletin as always.

Good to see an appearance of the Denco MTO. 1 in the Bulletin. I bought one of these from the BVWS stall at Tonbridge a while back, it came complete with a receipt from RADIOSTRUCTOR dated June 1960.

I really appreciate all the reviews folks but I've been socially distanced from my copy in terms of enforced residence in the south since mid March. Yes my brother could easily post it to me but there's nothing as powerful and rewarding as anticipation is there? As you all indicate:laugh1:
I shall look forward to Thwaites beer and reading the Bulletin upon my return.

Dave

[It is a great core of the Society and I'm so pleased we've kept the name. Many thanks to the team!]

You should find it worth the wait - an excellent range of articles.

+1 here also.

Particularly appreciated the Brimar update... And having the minutes of the committee meeting is interesting, too. Who knows, might inspire others to express an interest in joining!

And the Denco Modulated Test Oscillator - I knew it existed (bought a Denco catalogue around 1977) and knew it operated from a 9V GB battery. I'd assumed it was an old transistor design, before PP3 / 4 / 6 etc. Veneer knew it was a squegging valve circuit. Great!

Extra minds and opinions are always useful in our discussions. Indeed fresh ideas and opinions are most welcome by those of us who have been in our committee roles for years or decades.

Anyone interested please contact the chairman (Greg) who can chat with you about what's involved etc.
