"VRATS" and Others Get-Together Invitation
 

For a few of years a small bunch of like-minded folk have been meeting up irregularly to chat about our various electronic passions, see our collections and projects and have lunch together. We started gathering on Vintage Radio & TV but spread, hence the title "VRATs".

I feel it's my turn again, so a number of us are meeting up at my place (GU25) on November 14th for a chin-wag and lunch. I can accommodate a few more (up to 4 or 5 more) if anyone else is interested. Arrive any time after 1030, tea/coffee/biscuits & possibly cake available! Lunch probably in a local pub. Drift off home mid-late afternoon. Very informal.

Hoping to see lots of UKVRRs, VRATs and Golbornies in November. Just drop a quick post here, and I'll PM you full address details.

Always up for a close visit (close to Maidenhead as Virginia Water is), if it's not pouring with rain (dry on the way there, I don't mind at all getting wet on the bike on the way home) I would like to attend. A pub lunch and chatting about vintage gear sounds marvellous. Possibly cake seals it!

I shall make sure the boot of my car is empty, as I usually leave your house with some vintage gear :)

It's probably not a bad idea to car share where sensible, as parking may be a bit tight on the day. I may have to beg extra parking from my friendly neighbour!

We are already up to my original 12 limit, but two are still "possibles" (Sinewave and Yestertech). I can probably squeeze in 1 or 2 more if you are interested.

A grand day out is definitely the deal for these meets. Unfortunately for me, these days V-W is a bit too far over the horizon for a day trip.

Edward, you are taking the train. If you can advise an arrival time I will try to sort out transport.

If necessary I can offer a park and ride service for up to six people in the Galaxy funbus. We are about one mile away.

Hamid will be joining us, and that is definitely it. We may now have 15 on the day.
The pub is booked for lunch (at 1pm) and they are quite busy that day (another large group 30 mins before us) so we could save a long wait by pre-ordering lunches.

If anyone wants to bring anything to trade/sell or stuff to donate for museum funds, feel free! I'll definitely dig out some surplus stuff for people to delve through. There will be a table to display these odds and sods.

And post here if you are searching for anything specific, as other attendees may have something suitable in "stock" that they can bring along!
