Hi Folks, I'll probably be there, so if anyone wants bits etc please remind me and I'll bring them along.

Hi All,

The usual BVWS table of goodies and capacitors will be there and we will also be having a display of working 405 Line TV's and equipment for you to see.

I am taking a tape deck for Steve P and a reel to reel for Mark.

I should be picking up a radio to come south as well.

Anyone needing to get anything down south to Wootton Bassett etc, just let me know.

I'll be there - nothing to take or bring, but there's time yet!

I'm intending to be there, running the Bring & Buy again.

Although I shall provide some items myself, other items are welcome - either on the basis of 10% of sale price going to the Vintage Wireless & Television Museum or donated items with all the proceeds to the museum.

I would, however, ask that folk collect any unsold items before leaving.

I'm not aware of anything I should be bringing or collecting - unless anyone is in a position to collect a television and transformer and pass them on to Jeffrey in N. London, rather than me taking them to Wootton Bassett next month.

Click here for an alternative map:

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x...earchp=ids.srf

Off the M6 at Juction 23, onto the A580. (Known as the East Lancs Road.)
Go towards Manchester. (NOT Liverpool).
Past Golborne. You will see a sign post for Lowton Civic Hall. Take it, and follow the signs for Lowton Civic Hall. Just off the A572.

From Bolton end, take the A579 and then the A572 You'll see a set of traffic lights and there is a sign here for Lowton Civic Hall.

For those of you with SatNav, type in WA3 2AJ

Cheers,

Steve P.

Dave (Moll)

Depending on the size of the TV for Jeff, I can take it and the transformer from Lowton back here to Devizes, and then get them to Jeff later on or they can be picked up from here.

Hi Dave,

That will be fine.

I will pick these up from you at Lowton and bring back to Devizes.

Re: BVWS North West meet

Jolly good. I'll bring them to Lowton rather than WB, which suits me better.

Thanks again to both Dave and Mike for transport services.

Re: BVWS North West meet

Shame I'm not in Uk at present - hopefully make it next year if I remember enough time in advance - I'm on the look out for a cheap BSR UA15 or c141R1, so if anyone feels generous on the day...;)

hope it goes well for all concerned!

Re: BVWS North West meet

Well, in spite of having done almost nowt at all with my radio stuff since the last show, I hope to be there once again, with my usual "Auntie Wainwright" selection of musty dusty bits and pieces. Maybe just one little surprise though! Steve,.

Re: BVWS North West meet

Apart from all of the usuall goodies to be found at this very well run and friendly meeting, I will be taking a heap of equipment to sell at the BVWS table.

A lot of Air Ministry stuff, R1155's and other receivers including Eddystone and Hallicrafters etc. plus boxes of components valves and other assorted radios.

Everything going at reasonable prices to make some space in the BVWS store.

And of course the entertaining Vintage 405 Line TV display will be running again.

See you there on Sunday

Re: BVWS North West meet

Just had a phone call from a non-forum member who was asking if the event is still ok for tomorrow, what with the weather and flooding. Does anyone know if its still ok ?

TTFN,
Jon

Just to confirm everything is set up for Tomorrow. The weather seems to have been kinder than in the Lakes which has truly been shocking,
Apologies are accepted from those travelling from the flooded areas

see you all there

regards Mark

The weather is just a bit wet (spoken to friends half a mile from the event this morning). See you tomorrow.

Would be good if folk stuck a name badge on their person.
I do so I can remember who I am. ;)

I'll be there, and I've just found my badge.

Re: BVWS North West meet

I hope to be there, though please accept my apologies if I don't make it.

As I have mentioned elsewhere on the forum, my house is well above water level (built several hundred years before the modern trend to build on flood plains), but access between here and the rest of the country is a bit of a challenge.

Re: BVWS North West meet

Just a quick thanks to every one that attended, visitors and table holders alike.
I had a very enjoyably day, once again it was worth the effort!

Thanks and best wishes

Mark

PS i must also thank everyone's generosity, including the BVWS and Mike Barker for the collection and BVWS matching it, for the fund for Cumbria, in total £240.00, a fantastic effort

cheers again

Mark
