I have a Star Radio SR-40. But it's missing it's speaker.

I wonder if anyone knows the speaker manufacture for the SR-40.

It's very simiar to this radio, the HE-40.

Hi it looks as if most small moving coil speakers that would fit in would do. Is there an output transformer on the chassis or was it attached to the missing speaker?
I'm guessing a 3 ohm type should be suitable.

Is that the output transformer just visible on the left behind the S meter?

I had an American version of the same set. IIRC, it was the Monarch badged one. I changed the speaker in mine as well. The original one sounded too tinny.
As it is a live chassis set, make sure the speaker isn't too large where it contacts the metal cabinet. The speaker looks like it was mounted with rubber grommets. Yours has the autotransformer, but it's still a live chassis. The output transformer is the small one.
