Potentiometers with or without switch

If you require new volume or tone controls with or without switch Blore Edwards can supply, even custom made to fit vintage Radios and Record Players etc.
They will supply one off, typical price seems to be £7.
They are based in South Wales, tel. 01685882043, or search for the name.
I spoke to Brett very helpful, I should say I have no connection with this company.
Cheers
John

Received the Log pots with switch from above. I can’t understand why rs and others don’t supply these, they are just right for vintage Radios and Record Players. Fortunately you can order direct.

Nice, this company supplies the old AB style carbon & W/W pots and the meaty old Colvern style W/W pots, which were fairly standard parts in most electronics catalogues in the past. Even the unobtainium Log/AntiLog dual gangs can be made to order.

Thank you, that is an excellent resource. Mark Oppat in Ohio in the USA has bought something like 30 old radio shops and has a large stock of controls - www.oldradioparts.net

They probably view us as an inconsistent and unsustainable market with low and difficult to predict demand- whilst they do Eastern-made valves with "familiar" designations, they are a small selection of types that have a reasonable demand and mark-up potential.

It's great to see that Blore Edwards offer this service, though- I wouldn't be surprised if they saw a place in the market for supplying older type pots for continuing legacy requirements like the military and other professional users. As said, typically £7 isn't monstrous for a small-run service. I'm tempted to order a few straightforward types with "oddity" values as spares for e.g. the AR88 RF gain and noise limiter controls as a mark of appreciation for a useful service.

If you take a look at their web page you will see they do a very wide range of pots. and controls. I was lucky to be told about them and in South Wales! Makes a difference from having to order from China etc.

ps I have no connection with Blore Edwards.
