Sony PVM repair Scotland (CRT based)
 

Does anyone know of a shop or person that can repair a CRT (PVM) TV? Scotland, ideally central belt. Thanks!

I don't think that there is anybody in the Europe let alone the UK that can repair CRTs nowadays. What is the part number of the CRT? Perhaps there might be a replacement.

I think perhaps the OP is referring to a Professional Video Monitor TV with a CRT rather than the CRT itself.

Yeah like a Sony PVM. It's a CRT.

Hi.
I'm ex Sony and there are no parts for CRT monitors now from Thatcham or Germany.
What is the nature of the fault?

The geometry is not right at the bottom part of the screen (the bottom inch or so). The image kind of fans out to the right and left. I've tried tinkering with all the adjustments in the service menu and am not able to rectify it. I wonder if it is tired capacitors and whether replacing these would fix the issue.
