Default Beogram 1200 with bent silencer switch

Thanks, in advance, for reading this post. I have a Beogram 1200 which I'm trying to get working again. While examining the innards, I noticed that the switch which silences the pickup signal seems to have been bent out of shape. Please see the image below.

It's all curved, whereas in the service manual it all seems to be straight lines and 90-degree bends. Here is a close up of my switch.

Does anyone know what this switch should look like in real life?

As a new forum member and not familiar enough with English technical vocabulary, I will do my best to enter this forum.
My first try is to ask you if you got adequate response? I had also a problem with this switch and was able to fix it: I have pictures to show how it should look like, but do not know yet how to display. E-mail?

This must be some kind of record, a first timer being sorted out by another!

If all else fails you could bypass this switch. The fewer breaks in the singal path, the better.

I wouldn't worry about the supposed shape
It will have been "adjusted" so that it works (mutes the signal)
