Hi Mike

I too had a problem with rear sliders for my B16T as they were 50% knackered and the others very intermittent. I cut a piece of Tufnel the same size as the slider panel with the same screw holes and mounted 6 wire-wound pots in the same spacing as the sliders, staggered in height to get them to fit in the same width. The result is a tidy solution and I have kept the original panel with the set for posterity!

Hello Trevor! Yes it would be a profit as you say. Most of these sets were unsold at jumble sales and usually ended up being burnt on a bonfire round the back of the Church hall after the sale.....Pre war included..Oh yes.
Mikey! It was the Pye D16T that caused all the sparking. The HMV was an acquisition the week before. It was massive [1806] and was impossible to hide with any of the usual disguises. It was too heavy to get upstairs and ended up in the living room covered with a curtain! Happy days. J.
