Hi
I have an Aurora standards converter, and was wondering what the differences were between it and the Domino converter which I am thinking of getting. It must be the London version as all my TVs are London versions. Regards Neville Last edited by Mike Phelan; 15th Mar 2010 at 06:17 PM. Reason: Rule D6 and FSK. |

Hello.
With the greatest respect why would you wish to swap an Aurora (with the exception of the early multistandard one less the inbuilt modulator)?

Which you can do with an Aurora.....
It belts out so much RF a simple resistive splitter will allow you to supply atleast half a dozen sets with ease

Hi Neville
Just a Sean says there should be no problem running a good few sets from an Aurora, without bringing down the Domino in any way I do feel though that the Aurora is a better converter, it's not far short of the broadcast Digital converters that were used up to the 405 switch off

Hello Neville, I am using an Aurora with a six way splitter with long cable runs [One is around 60ft long] and it still provides enough signal to operate relatively low gain sets. This can be extended even further if a simple aerial pre amp is employed. J.
