Revox A77 repair
I’ve got a Revox A77 that used to belong to my uncle.
For the first time I plugged it in and turned it on, all seemed well initially but the motor that turns the spools started spinning faster and faster and it began emitting a funky smell. I quickly powered it off but have been looking for somewhere to send it for an inspection / service. Not being experienced I wouldn’t trust myself with it. Does anyone know of a reliable individual or business in the UK that is still taking on these kinds of jobs? I found a website called oddbits, that seem to offer a service for the A77 at a set price. Does anyone reading have a personal experience with them maybe? Thanks, I hope I’m in the right sub forum. Apologies if not! |
