Hacker Sovereign 3
Has anyone found a direct modern replacement for the FM whip aerials on these?
I have used a Roberts R900 new replacement which works OK but would prefer something which looks more original. Last edited by Mike Phelan; 22nd Oct 2014 at 3:56 pm. |

Re: Hacker sovereign 3
In short, no. What you have is probably the best available today. The tip is different, but otherwise it's not a bad match for the set.
A lot of folk recommend a Maplin aerial, but that lacks the tilting knuckle. With the older Hackers - that use aerials with a smaller overall diameter - then certain Fidelity aerials are a reasonable match, provided you swap them at the knuckle. No-doubt there are many other possibilities, if you don't mind sacrificing another set. I'm obviously very happy to be corrected |

Depending on what the problem with the aerial on the set (missing?) they can usually be repaired.
