Re: TR3558(Eureka Mk2 Transponder)
Hi Davie
Just recently joined the group. I am involved in a living history group in Scotland. We portray US Paratroops. I am trying to recreate a Eureka for my display. Can you offer any help/pics etc. regards Adrian |

Re: TR3558(Eureka Mk2 Transponder)
David.
Eureka MK 2 had the designation TR3174 and operated on the frequencies you listed. TR3558 was Eureka MK 2C and operates on 176 Mhz receive and 177 Mhz transmit. Plenty of info in "Wireless for the warrior Vol. 4". Be careful. These units had a detonator fitted for destruction purposes and it may not have been removed.

The RAF Hendon archive can usually supply manuals for most A.M. stuff at a price per page.
